Night reading: conception of an idea

Preparing an idea for a shoot and executing it are two different things. Imagine a silhouette, a distant figure that sits or stands, carrying a book lamp. This person is very much alone. Everywhere they go they carry this light.

Producing this little collection was so fulfilling. Fun memories were created with my friend. We both had these ideas which we could bounce off each other. By the end of the evening I realized I had created a whole character in this man with a book.

Nothing beats a quiet shooting location. The mix of darkness and golden light puts the emphasis on the activity of reading.
